Juli92
Hi all. I have no knowledge of mechanics. I drove my 2015 journey just fine for an hour this am with no issues starting or running. About an hour after I got to work my husband went out to the car and it would not unlock for him. He had to use the emergency key to open the doors. Once in, he tried to start it and had no display light or anything. We just replaced the battery and there is energy in it (tried to jump) any ideas what it could be?? We also replaced the key fob battery summer of last year
lmoore1436
Did you try starting it with the second key? Depending on what brand/quality of battery you placed in the key it may need to be changed again. If that doesn't work then I would look at the battery, just to make sure you rule out the simple things before you take it in to the dealer. Also unplug the battery and let it sit for about thirty minutes, if there is an electrical "glitch" then this just might fix it. Good luck, and let us know what happens! jkeaton
jkeaton
You state: "We just replaced the battery and there is energy in it (tried to jump) any ideas what it could be??". It has energy? Meaning you had it tested? You tried to jump? What happened when you did that?
Juli92
We got it started. Sorry I'm at work and rushed my wording. The battery had plenty of charge (we had it tested). Apparently there was a loose connection somewhere
