jmz1
I recently purchased a 2009 Journey 3.5L SXT. I replaced the starter that was bad on the car and when I turned it back on it was running rough and the check engine light came on. The code that came on was P0325 Knock sensor No 1 circuit. Can anyone point me in the right direction on where it might be located? Any help would be appreciated.
jkeaton
Moved to the correct section of the forum. It's under the intake manifold....good luck...This might help. https://workshop-manuals.com/dodge/journey_awd/v6-3.5l/powertrain_management/computers_and_control_systems/knock_sensor/component_information/service_and_repair/knock_sensor_removal/ mechanical-idiot

jmz1
Thank you, any advice on the P2314 code? Or do you think the misfire code is causing it to come on.

jmz1
Hello again I'm back with my 2009 journey. This time i'm lost with whats going on with it. It was working fine then the starter decided to not work anymore so I replaced it. Soon after that it started acting up with keeping the rpm staying up. When the car is in park and I press on the accelerator the rpm starts to go up but then after a few seconds it starts to slowly go down. Can anyone help with what might be wrong with it? Any help would be appreciated.
larryl
Could be your fuel pump acting up if you have no codes
jmz1
The only code stored is P0571. I looked it up and it says that's the cruise control brake switch. I don't think that'll be causing it to do that? Thanks for your response.

rossco
Hi jmz1, the fault code you mention relates to the brake light switch on the brake pedal. The switch usually has two circuits, one powers the brake lights and the other deactivates the cruise control if you hit the brake. It's common for half of the switch to break, I.e the brake lights still work but cruise function doesn't or vide versa. I would be changing that switch first as they are about £10. cruise control probably won't function if that broken. rossco 2late4u
