Paully
Have a 2011 journey 3.6 V6. Have noticed a short term noise at start that sounds like oil starvation ? I am not sure but believe the 3.6 pentastar motor has variable valve timing and what im hearing is slightly loose cam chains before oil pressure can force the chain tensioners out to take up the slack .? This condition is common on other motors but im not sure if the pentastar uses oil pressured cam chain tensioners .? Has anyone else experienced this ? Motor is at 160000 klms . jkeaton
The 3.6 makes all kinds of start up noises. Partly because of plastic cover in the timing chain. Does it more in colder weather. Perfectly normal.
Paully
Is there a fix for this from the manufacturer ?
