DieselDevilDog
We both retired and moved from Michigan to Georgia. Trying to keep all the limited money in check. We bought a 2018 Journey Crossroad and got a very good deal on it. It did not come with a back up camera. I really want one very badly. So I called the dealership parts guy and he suggested an audio shop in Chattanooga, TN. Which is right across the border from our home in Northwestern Georgia. He said for about $900 installed and it would be a perfect system just like it came on the car. He said the unit itself was around $550 or so. Will have to save up for a while to have this installed . Comments/suggestions/advice appreciated................................ diesel
2late4u
has been discussed here a lot you can go with org oem back up cam for a lot less. i assume you have the 8.4 screen cam from mopar is somewhere about 350. and about 150-200 for install and then its covered under your 3/36 warranty check the threads under the forums for more info. bramfrank
IMO, if you are looking to conserve money then spending anything for a backup camera flies in the face of the concept. jkeaton

BUT the same thing was said when i had my 2011 journey they said no back up cam they had would work on it when i first bought it new but about the yr later then it all of a sudden it was listing a part # for my 2011.... have a feeling they dont update their part # to include the newest model, get with your dealership as if they had to repair a 2018 back up cam they would have to order the part and i bet it would be the old part #....you could buy it and run the wires and then just pay the dealership to flash it. has been discussed in the forum under settings check them out. bramfrank
I have no clue what the point of your meme is. You said you were looking to save money, yet were willing to spend what seemed to be $900 for a backup camera - the 2 concepts are pretty much mutually exclusive. It isn't as if a backup camera is a necessity of life. jkeaton
