Bob Stratton
I just got a (new to me) 2010 Dodge Journey SXT. I'm trying to learn about the EVIC that (I think) my vehicle has. I've read both the manual that I downloaded and the one on the DVD that was in a (still sealed) sleeve in the vehicle. Both those manuals differ from my vehicle. The manuals show two buttons, one on the left and one on the right of the steering wheel on the rear (rear being closest to the driver) surface of the steering wheel. Mine does not have those buttons but does have two buttons (again one on the left and one on the right) but on the front (front being closest to the dash) side of the steering wheel. See first two photos. I have been able to get the EVIC to cycle through the various displays using the left "stick" (see third photo) on the dash. So far I haven't seen any way to "customize" things as mentioned in the manual. Any ideas?
OhareFred
The buttons on the back of the wheel are radio controls Are you sure the cd and manual are for a Dodge Journey?
Bob Stratton
Here's a scan of the DVD cover (remember, it was sealed i.e. unopened). Also the cover page of the downloaded manual and page 203 of said manual showing the buttons I mentioned above.
Bob Stratton
The cover page of the downloaded manual didn't get included in my previous reply.
OhareFred
If you don’t have the buttons on the front of your wheel you don’t have the enhanced dash display on your car. It’s optional The manual has every option described. You need to apply it to what your vehicle is equipped with. jkeaton
Bob Stratton
Thanks, Fred. That's what I suspected. What I struggle with (given that I got this vehicle used and no contact with the original owner) is just what options it has. Some are pretty obscure. The manual constantly states "if equipped" but doesn't help a lot in determining "if" it is indeed equipped.
