ashford1989
I have a 2015 journey SE Plus 2.4 FWD 72000km, original owner. My family hauler! For the last few months ive been hearing a rattling type noise while driving coming from the engine bay only at low rpms and usually when approaching a hill or incline, as soon as it shifts into a higher gear with higher rpm the engine sounds normal again. At idle everything is normal, i can replicate the noise if i hold the brake and apply the throttle while in drive. I not a fool around cars and this issue has me stumped, ive check around the engine for lose heat shields etc with no luck, the only thing I discovered is a part in the front of the engine, when i tap it with my fist or a wrench it seems like it makes the same type of noise.(Picture attached) Any Ideas??? redtomatoman
Ah, I see the attachments on this post. Don't know what part that is. Another thought is to check the rest of your exhaust system when you check the catalytic converter. Peace.
