hiphopcr
I just got a 2009 Dodge Journey (SXT) with nav, dvd, 3rd row. So far I can make phone calls via bluetooth, but can I stream music/podcasts from my phone as well?
Summer Solstice
Works on my 2016 R/T
OhareFred
My 09 will play exact ringtones from my phone, so I would guess so. If it connects to BT it should work.
hiphopcr
It's connected to Uconnect via bluetooth, but I cannot figure out how to connect it for anything but phone calls. I believe '09 was the first year of the Uconnect system and the website only covers back to 2011.
larryl
In my 09 I had my phone connected by bluetooth but used an Ipod with the line in for music I dont think back then it was possible and technology had been upgraded to accommodate new phones etc in newer models Just a thought
J.SHOW84
No streaming with the uconnect in 2009-2010. Bluetooth didn't have that function at that time
J.SHOW84
Think it was added in the 2011 uconnect

I use a Bluetooth fm transmitter(use yhe aux out to play music through the cars aux port). My phone is capable of connecting to two bluetooth devices at the same time so i connect to the car and the bt device. Car takes the calls and the other streams my music. Solved a problem for pretty cheap Summer Solstice, OhareFred and DodgyChic
DodgyChic
J.show84 what type of phone have you got that allows two connections at the same time? I have an apple iPhone 6 but due an upgrade soon so looking for ideas of what works with my 2010 Journey. Any other info on streaming via anything other than the AUX jack would be very helpful as I’m having same issue as OP. Thanks

I also have a fm transmitter(12v socket) is use in my van. It connects via Bluetooth or aux to my phone. It can also connect to the car by aux cable instead of fm transmission, so your phone can connect wirelessly. Handy piece of tech.

I was at a service station today and they had a transmitter. I can’t find an aux cable in the shops so might get that instead. Thanks for your help!
