Took to mechanic and they said it was a bad throttle body and replaced it. Same issue kept happening and they got a new throttle body and replaced once again. Then same issue with lights and going into limp mode happened again this morning while letting my car warm up for my drive to work. I am really at my wits end with this. The mechanics have performed multiple smoke tests and seen nothing. Any suggestions what could be causing this? Could it possibly be bad ignition coils that need replaced causing this issue? Thanks for any help! Check your accelerator pedal. It may be the culprit. If this is not working it will not allow the throttle body to keep position. luzmina
If you ever had the P2173 code see my post here: https://www.dodgejourneyforum.com/topic/12196-p2173-high-airflowvacuum-leak-detected-fixed/?tab=comments#comment-91166
John/Horace
He needs to scan for codes again. Gas pedal sensor can send lots of codes, p2127, p0222, p0123 etc. No limp mode or idling issues mentioned that pedal sensor often causes. If only lightning symbol, could even be wiring harness only issue.
