Courtneymcnitt
I have a 2009 Dodge Journey. We replaced the breaks. My husband pulled head out of the mud to change the breaks. He went to test drive it but it won’t come out of park? I need help to figure out why? What do you guys think?

jkeaton
So you changed the breaks an he pulled his head out of the mud and changed the breaks again? Did you get a break or you need a break? Do you mean "brakes"? He changed the "brakes" and now it won't come out of park? Are you pressing the brake pedal? I will move this to the correct section since you posted in the forum help section...lol Edited March 27, 2019 by jkeaton 2late4u

jkeaton
Perhaps the car needs a break from the mud. The mud took a break on your brakes and they are caked up with said mud. Did he clean the mud from the brakes or did he take another break?
OhareFred
When he changed the brakes did he use a brake tool and twist the rear calipers in? If not he damaged the calipers and they need to be replaced. I am not sure if that would keep it from going out of park, but if the pedal won’t go down maybe.
