MarySv
I was in a collision a week ago with rear end damage. The day after the accident, I started getting the service remote keyless system message. The battery for my key fob has been replaced. I still have the message and yesterday my alarm went off for about 10 minutes solid and I could not get it stopped and during that time the service remote system light was illuminated the entire time. I have a 2012 Dodge journey. It is scheduled for repairs next week, but wondering if there could be any damage to any of the electrical system just from the rear end damage? larryl
It could be your hatch latch has been damaged and its triggering alarms as it works by fob also.....just a thought MarySv, mechanical-idiot and OhareFred 1

jkeaton
Moved to the correct section. Make sure you explain this to the insurance adjuster so it can be fixed as part of the damage repair. mechanical-idiot, MarySv and 2late4u
