Joshua French
Hi All, Just purchased my first Journey and can't tell you how happy I am with it. Love it. I am however having a slight issue with the phone connection. I have a Samsung Galaxy S9. I can connect via Bluetooth and play music ect. I can connect and even make a call but there is no sound on either end cannot hear them and they cannot hear me. I cleared my network settings on my phone and it worked once but after one call it went back to not hearing ect. Can anyone help please? jkeaton
Welcome to the forum. What year is your Journey? Did you get a warranty? How many miles? Assume we know nothing about your vehicle (which we don’t) and include as much info as you can so we can better assist you. Joshua French
Hi, It's a 2012 R/T with 100,000 miles. It didn't come with a warrenty. I downloaded and updated to the latest Uconnect software but it still has that issue.
Official Dodge Support DodgeCares Posted April 29, 2019 Official Dodge Support Report Share Posted April 29, 2019 Hello Joshua, Sorry to hear that you are having these concerns with your infotainment system. First I would unpair your phone and insure that there are no other devices stored, then reconnect your device. If that does not work, please PM us your vin number and we can escalate a case to Uconnect on your behalf. BigBri
I have the same problem. Did you get yours resolved? What worked? Thanks.
OhareFred
I have a similar issue with my 09’s UConnect. It constantly switches between the car speakers and the iPhone speakers. I’ve been to the dealer 3 times, 6 calls to UConnect. UConnect says it’s the module or the phone. The dealer says the module is fine, it’s UConnects ancient software. Apple says it’s not the phone software, it should be working. UConnect has zero plans to update this old ass software. UCONNECT SUCKS. Ripping the old radio out and putting in a Kenwood with car play. 100 times better unit and FCA can stick their UConnect where the sun doesn’t shine.I won’t lose anything because only the radio and UConnect run through the stereo, no heat controls, etc.... rant over...? larryl

BigBri
Spoiler Spoiler I have not resolved this issue yet. I was on the phone with Uconnct/Dodge Customer care on Saturday. They told me to take it into the dealer to make sure nothing is wrong with any of the components. I asked if they could tell me what all of the components are and where they are in the vehicle. They could not answer me. When did yours start the symptom? I just bought my Journey in December. It was recently involved in an accident, the previous owner started the repairs, I am completing the repairs. All dash airbags went off in the accident. I wonder if this is related. Also, the city I live in has a large salvage yard with an endless supply of these vehicles and vehicle radios. I am considering buying a used radio and trying that next. BigBri
I was viewing other forums on this issue. Someone mentioned a "telematics module" I did a little part searching, located the module in the vehicle via parts diagrams. I am now considering buying a used module to see if that will fix the problem
BigBri
I got mine fixed!!! I replaced the module with a module from a salvage (parts) vehicle. The salvage guy told me his part has a different part number. I did some internet research and discovered that the salvage vehicle part number is the updated part number from my vehicle. Bought it, installed it and it works! larryl, jkeaton and OhareFred 1
