DodgyChic
Hello! I’m based in the UK and we have no Dodge or Chrysler dealerships here so looking for a fix I can do myself. I have had the battery replaced in my key fob and now it needs reprogramming. The manual says take to dealer but there are no dealerships in the UK. Have any UK based Dodge Journey owners had their fob reprogrammed by an independent specialist or worked out how to do it themselves? Thanks in advance! 2late4u
in the U.S. when changing the battery in our key fobs do NOT need reprogramming, i have heard about local key shops that can reprogram the key fobs to work with the journeys when one has been lost. hard to believe you would have to have it reprogrammed just due to replacing a battery in your key fob ,,,good luck on your problem
jkeaton
You replaced the battery and now it won't work? Did you observe polarity when replacing the battery? They should not lose programming simply by replacing the battery. Summer Solstice and OhareFred

Summer Solstice
I had to replace the batteries in two key fobs that were only 2 years old. They still did not work. I got some good quality, name brand (the others were too) batteries and now they work like a champ. The lesion was that the fobs may not like certain brands even though the batteries are new. Why? I don't know. Some small issue with fit maybe but the new ones have been in almost a year now. jkeaton
