Darton
Vehicle has approximately 103,000 km on it, Issue started about 6-12 months ago, but has progressively gotten worse. Under medium acceleration there is a hard shift from gears 2-3. Note: May be in other lower gears as well, but most noticeable here. Dealership has performed a scan and no codes are stored in the PCM and no flash updates are available. Dealership has cleared the VLP and quick learn and this has not corrected the issue. A transmission service has not been performed to date. The next recommendation from the dealership is to have a transmission pan drop service completed. While I agree that this service should be completed as part of normal maintenance, I don't believe that this will fix the problem. Are there any suggestions on what might be causing this problem and what course of action should be taken next to correct it? Thanks Darton
2late4u
since this is in Km is this outside of the power train warranty that is offered by Chrysler?if you are still with in the limits i would take to a different dealership as they should be required to fix it. as you suggest i dont believe the fluid and filter change will solve the problem. maybe dodge care will chime in on weather you are in the warranty range? jkeaton
larryl
You should get the fluid and filter changed as a first step and use Mopar...but it could be several things TCM ,solenoid pack, clutch pack and on and on jkeaton and 2late4u
Darton
Thanks for the input guys. I have an extended warranty which is good until 115000 km, so I'm still inside the warranty period. I agree that this is something that a flood change will not fixed. 2late4u

Darton
I took the car in on Oct 24th. Dodge warranty would not do any work until the transmission service was completed (due to the current amount of km on the vehichle). Since doing the transmission service the 'clunk' or 'hard shift' between gears seems to have stopped working. I will continue to monitor and if anything changes I'll update again. Thanks for the feedback on this one everyone ! Armando G
