larryl
I'm keeping my journey until it quits but I've ordered a 2020 Jeep Altitude with everything but the sunroof. Hope the 3.6 is as good as the one in the Journey @ 131000 miles Thanks 2late4u and Summer Solstice
Summer Solstice
Be interested to hear a comparison between the Journey 6 speed trans and the one in the jeep. I test drove a jeep before buying the Journey. Don't remember if it was 8 or 9 speeds but it would take some getting used to. The 3.6 pulled it along just fine, unlike the 4 cylinder option. larryl
jkeaton
You will LOVE that 8 speed transmission! I wanted a Cherokee, but the wife insisted we needed 3 rows of seating....I lost that battle..... larryl
I noticed it immediately when I test drove them...the tranny is leaps and bounds above the 6 spd even when the Journey was new.
OhareFred
I have a 2018 Cherokee. 9 speed transmission and a 4 cylinder. Couldn’t be happier, plenty of get up and go, the trans shifts like any other automatic transmission. Foot to gas, car goes..? larryl
