kmsjahan
Dear forum memebers, I am getting 13mpg in the city for my my 2012 2.4L Journey. Is this reasonable for this 8 year old car? Is there anyway I can improve the mileage? Looking forward for your suggestions. Thank you
jkeaton
Whats the mileage? Plugs need to be changed every 30k. Do you drive it like you stole it? Did it used to get better mileage? Is it fully loaded with passengers/cargo? FWD or AWD? OhareFred and 2late4u 1

John/Horace
Is the check engine light on dash on. If so scan for codes. Are you filling tank and doing manual calculation or using dash indicator? jkeaton

Answers in same sequence: - 78k miles - Plug change is due and scheduling to get it done - not sure what it means though. I do less than 10k miles/year - yes. 16 MPG combined - negative. Typically 1/2 passengers with groceries - FWD

jkeaton
Calculate mileage the old fashioned way. The indicator on the dash is wildly inaccurate for the most part. Get the plugs changed. Edited April 9, 2020 by jkeaton John/Horace, 2late4u and Summer Solstice 1
