Raythecaddie
I have a 2010 R/T and my rear struts need replacing, but how do I know if they are self-levelling or not??? or does it even make a difference what I buy?
OhareFred
Didn’t think that was an option, but I’ve been wrong before...
2late4u
check with your local dealership since you have a RT, they used different stiffness on the struts then reg journey, you can still go aftermarket as well OhareFred
Raythecaddie
I need to buy new rear struts and the parts store asked me if my R/T had self-levelling struts. He said if they were previously self-levelling then I had to replace them with self-levelling because the aftermarket standard struts won't fit. OhareFred
I have an 09 RT with the factory RT struts. AFAIK self leveling struts have an air system attached to them. I don’t believe the DJ had that. Why don’t you get the factory part number from the dealer and get the ones that A:fit and B: the brand you want. jkeaton

John/Horace
Yes definitely not self leveling. I like KYB struts, they are a little more money.
Raythecaddie
Thank you everyone for the replies, you all helped me a lot. I never realized that self-levelling struts had an air system attached to them, which my vehicle most definately does not.
