jcwii645705
Since the R/T comes with single pipe split dual exhaust, will need I one muffler or two? Thanks.
jkeaton
Look under and see if the muffler is before or after the split. Before? 1 muffler, after? 2.
jcwii645705
They are after the split. The split starts just before the fuel tank
jcwii645705
I was thinking of doing the single center in, double pipe out. But don’t think the sound will be what I’m looking for
17JourneyGT
I did my 2017 GT with dual flow master super 44s. There isn’t any room before the split to put a super 44. So your kind of forced to put 2.
jcwii645705
Thank you for the advice. I can’t wait to get some better sounding mufflers installed. Still doing some research. Trying to make the right decision for me. It took me 5 months to pick the audio system I wanted. Went with 2 Alpine SWS-12D2 Subwoofers, Alpine MRV M1200 watt Mono V-Power amplifier, And a LC2i LOC (Line Output Converter). I saved a crap ton of money by doing the install myself. Greekbulldis
Just had my 17GT done. Deleted mid resonator and replace with MagnaFlow 10415 Exhaust Muffler magnapack Straight pipe the rest. Got rid of those chrome tips and replaced them with single wall black powder coat 12” tips. 45° cut. sounds amazing especially when get on the freeway. Almost zero drone unless you are getting on her.
jcwii645705
Went to the shop to make sure I would order the right mufflers. Was told the size of the exhaust pipes are 2.25. I’ve seen posts of people saying they used 2.50 inlet. Is that because they used bigger piping for the whole exhaust system?
