Jztrk
Hello all the engine in my 2013 journey 2.4l has 102k mi on it and has given up the ghost. I am looking at replacement longblocks. I live in CA and it seems that almost all the engine assembly's say (federal) is there an actual difference in the blocks? I thought that the emissions stuff was all bolt on. I am currently not working as much and am on a limited budget to get this thing repaired. I checked lkq and all of thier engine's are well north of 1k. any suggestions on where to look for a decent price
jkeaton
I would check your local junk yards, or ebay. 2late4u
John/Horace
Given up the ghost how? What is the official diagnosis of the problem, top end, cyclinder head or cam issue, bottom end crank knocking. Maybe the mechanic you were going to have work on it has some connections for used engines. jkeaton
