Dlong
Hello everyone, my 2013 journey crew was having an intermittent code 868 I changed fluid and filter and cleared the code all was good then the 868 code came back again intermittent but it seemed ok so we ran it, now it's got the 1745 limp mode code so I changed the line pressure sensor and solenoid pack and it did not help, now the trans temp is reading hot even after sitting all night, now my question is, if the tcm thinks the transaxle is overheated would that cause the limp mode to remain and if so is the temp sensor integrated in the range sensor, or did I mess something up changing the solenoid pack, I didn't break anything and the pin is in place on the range sensor, any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance
John/Horace
Welcome to the forum. How many miles? I’m more familiar with Hyundai, and they do go to limp mode on a high temperature code, trying to protect tranny. The temp sensor it built into a ribbon cable harness that is easy bumped when changing filter. Age makes plastic brittle and it’s not really possible to see break in the flex harness. People try reseating the connectors on the harness as a long shot. Hopefully someone with more Dodge knowledge can step up.
