#p0302 misfire

Recommended Posts

Looks like p0302 is gone but now I have p000a/b codes which is slow camshaft response.

The oil looks very dirty so I'll be changing it fresh to see if that helps their response. If not looks like I'll be replacing the sensors.

My question is, when purchasing the camshaft sensors are they the same 2 camshaft sensors for p000a and p000b just in different locations?

Oil shouldn’t affect a cam sensor as far as I know. But oil changes are cheap necessary maint.

Looks like both sensors are the same, not expensive either. Only one sensor listed on sites, says two required.

Sounds good. Yeah the misfire code is gone and it threw a p000a and p000b. The car oil is not just dirty but was mixed viscosity, etc.

I was reading that incorrect viscosity as well as dirty oil could effect the VVT Which would throw a code for Camshaft sensors in newer cars.

I think I remember the slow camshaft response code sometime before and the owner got an oil change and I reset the PCM and those two P000a/b codes were gone until recently.
