Tony58
engine ran rough then died. Got a code for the fuse box under hood. Changed it and then found can sensor melted. Car never run hot. Then the car started and drove for 3 miles then same exact then happened. Under calve cover was melted and can sensor melted again. Cam shaft has discoloration from heat. Engine never ran hot according to the temp gauge. Can’t figure this one out. Any help would be appreciated. John/Horace

John/Horace
Kinda confusing. Melted cam sensors may not be from heat, a short which took out fuse under hood could be source of problem. Fuses are designed to protect wiring from shorts, don’t move to a larger fuse without figuring out what is blowing fuses.
Tony58
So there was definitely heat cause the cam shaft is discolored and the bottom of the valve cover had melted parts as well. jkeaton
