BrandyA1978
Can anyone tell me what this is and what we need to do to fix it? What is the part and can it be done by my husband. Please no smart comments....
5rebel9
I surmise that that's the Pass side intermediate shaft and carrier bearing assy and also looks like the pass side inner CV joint is also going bad where it is spline fit to end of the intermediate shaft end. Looks to me like time for a complete pass. side axle shaft replacement. I don't know your husband's mechanical abilities or tools he has to do the work needed. jkeaton

BrandyA1978
Thank you 2late4u. We called auto zone and they don’t sell the parts. Would these come from the dealership? Where did you buy your parts from? Thanks!!

2late4u
i bought most of my daughters parts for her caravan thur advance auto using retailmenot.com got great deals using this web site , that said the cv axels we used really didnt have a problem with except what usually went bad was the rubber boots that would get ripped or torn as the are on the small side compared to the OEM parts from the dealership, of course they were about 1/4 price of the OEM parts and when we needed them we had to get the part right away and couldn't wait for the dealership to have them shipped in so thats why we used advance auto.....like most things you get what you pay for........ JohnnyRevs
Check out https://www.factorychryslerparts.com/ as they have parts diagrams - very handy! They supply also though I haven't used them as I'm a wee bit far away and shipping would cost an arm and a leg! Good luck with the fix.
