John/Horace
The gps tracking device are really small, like the size of a pack of matches. Powered by a 3 volt lithium but linked to ecm so they can create parasitic load. I use to have an old one I took off a front bumper crash bar. Strong magnet held it in place. They often installed under a bumper cover etc so very tricky to find. Understandable for dealer to not see it or be aware of its existence. Lots of rental cars and luxury vehicles have them installed. Great invention that closed a lot of chop shops when they first came out. AGM batteries are better for vehicles that don’t get used a lot, slower discharge and faster recharge. Becoming std equipment on lots of Lexus and other luxury cars. More money, but the gap is closing so worth considering.
ProtoMD
Back again, not a year later. Going to have to send it to an auto electric shop. This will be the third shop to try to assess this same issue. Per the 8A Schumacher charger, the battery is bad. So this is like the 4th battery since we got it so we'llbe on our 5th. We're getting less than a year per battery still. Bluetooth has also recently fully died and passenger side climate pumps out heat even when set to min. We regret getting this lemon. 2late4u
well you keep replacing the battery but you havent found the problem that is draining the battery, yes some cars are lemons but that goes with the territory of buying used vehicle , i have had 2 journeys one a 2011 traded it in with 70 k a few problems (mostly the undersized brake rotors) and my 2014 crossroad with 128 k on it with a few small problems and also on my 3rd battery... love it and going to run the wheels off it, sorry you are having bad luck with yours but find the cause of the battery drain hopefully

Might be time to move on to a better built vehicle...There are a lot of lemons on a tree
John/Horace
Bad blue tooth module is one of the most common parasitic draw issues on these cars. Search site for which fuse to pull in passenger kick plate panel. Very expensive module and awkward to change out. Discussed here often. We're going to leave it disconnected as they quoted $1300 CAD for the replacement of the Bluetooth unit. John/Horace
These guys are usually 30% off and free shipping for over $200. Auto recycler is another option, on this site are posts from people who did a diy on this. https://www.moparpartscanada.ca/
ProtoMD
I should probably update this so anyone experiencing this can find the solution. The simplest way of fixing this was just... Pulling the fuse. We've been fine for 2 winters and have no more issues. So... Yeah... The Bluetooth module killed like 4 batteries and cost us a couple grand in the process, stumping a large Dodge dealer and is for years. Cool beans. Edited February 4 by ProtoMD Removed repetition. 2late4u
you mentioned the passenger side stuck on heat that is the blend door is fix, but use OEM parts for a long term fix,,you tube will show you which one there are 3 on the passenger side and it is the one in the middle behind the glove box

Perhaps the dealership we brought it to fixed that. 2late4u
John/Horace
Blend door will sometimes free itself up and keep working. It’s a tiny servo motor with plastic teeth that can start to bind. If it sticks closed you get no fresh air in and windows will often start fogging up. Awkward part to change even though only two screws. If outside temp not too cold running the a/c will help clear the humidity. Extreme cold disables a/c.
