Dane G
Does anyone know how to remove the Roof Rails on the 2017 Journey GT?
Armando G
I looked for a video showing installation, but could not find it (would be the reverse) . Yes, you can remove them. You have to remove the headliner to remove them, and there are plugs available for the holes after removal. I believe you take the plastic and on the rails as well to remove the screw. Why would you want to remove them? Unless you just want a clean look and don't use them at all. Might be a plus to keep them on if you ever sell the car. hunter55
Found my roof rack https://www.moparonlineparts.com/sku/82212509.html and it comes with an installation manual which is https://www.moparonlineparts.com/docs/82212509.pdf so maybe you could reverse the steps? Hope I could help.
Dane G
Thanks Hunter, but this is the install for the crossbars. I'm trying to remove the sidebars.
jkeaton
There are caps on the ends that pry off. Bolts holding to the roof are underneath.
Dane G
That's what I figured too. Just didn't want to pry on them too hard if there was another way to get them off.
