paulz
I've had two different 2019 Journeys, and both of them have major issues with Uconnect. It is inconsistent, and incredibly frustrating. I would estimate it only connects to my phone about 10% of the time for audio. I've tried two different iphones with both vehicles, and neither of them worked regularly. Even when I plug them into the USB, Uconnect either switches my app from Spotify to iTunes, or it rapidly changes the songs on a playlist without me pushing any buttons. This happened on both vehicles. Both phones. What is going on??
OhareFred
I have an 09 that had UConnect Handsfree Phone. Back then there was no Bluetooth to play music so can’t help there. What I can offer is over the years and IPhone updates it worked less and less until, I got so frustrated I put in an aftermarket head unit, a Kenwood, and removed all the UConnect systems. Works flawlessly. That being said, I have UConnect in my 2018 Jeep Cherokee ,still no Bluetooth for music or CarPlay, but the phone/messaging/handsfree system works perfectly with my IPhone 11. Running IOS 14.2. UConnect does not seem to play nice with Apple. So, I would check the following: is there and update for your UConnect? Put your vin in the UConnect site, it should tell you are you running the latest software on your phone? have the dealer check your system Calling UConnect is usually a waste of time... Armando G
11 hours ago, paulz said: have major issues with Uconnect. I'll start by saying... I'm not trying to be rude or mean to the OP, just making a statement. It's funny how nowadays getting your music to play in your car is a 'major issue to a cars performance. Way back, if our radio stopped working, we would grab our boom box (big ass radio) and stick it in between us to listen to music. We carried extra 'D' size batteries as backup and turned it up as high as possible. We either had whatever the radio station was playing or whatever we recorded on our cassette tapes (legally of course). I know some of you will probably have no idea what I am talking about, but damn, our major issues back then were really a lot worse. On the flip side, I do believe this stuff should work on these futuristic cars... lol. ?
