SRfR
Recently I had to have the Six speed automatic replaced ($2,800 for a rebuild) and now there is a hard thumping coming from underneath when accelerating from a stop. Would this be coming from the transmision that was worked on or coming from another part of the driveline? It feels like gears are slipping or being skipped right before the hard thump kicks in. It's the AWD V6 version. They definitely flushed the trans fluid with the rebuild, cause the whole vehicle stuck like cat pee when I got it back, but this thumping noise is worrisome as I am back to babying the gas pedal and not racing the engine. no matter how much it may frustrate anyone that gets behind me.
