Bill Adams
I got transmission problems in my Dodge Journey. It shifts weird. Sometimes down shifts for no reason. transmission was completely rebuilt about a year ago. all I’ve done so far is make the fluid level is good. and check codes. P735 Gear 5 Incorrect Ratio P0732 Gear 2 Incorrect Ratio And P2807 Pressure Control Solenoid "G" I’m thinking pressure control solenoid may be causing the others. Am I on the right track? and thanks in advance.
John/Horace
How long is repair warranty? Complete rebuild was what, torque converter, pump and solenoid pack.? How many miles before rebuild was done, and since rebuild. Input and output speed sensors issues can create sudden shifts.
2late4u
My dealership ( in Alabama) tells me oem repairs at the dealership come with a 2 yr unlimited mileage on each repair Edited January 17, 2021 by 2late4u
Bill Adams
First rebuild, over two years ago. Second was under warrantee. it’s no longer under warrantee. if it was still under warrantee, I wouldn’t be asking for help? And I will never take anything back to that transmission shop, again. In addition to the second rebuild, a few month’s after it wouldn’t start. Starter wouldn’t turn. While pulling the starter, I found a ground cable not connected. A cable they failed to reconnect. 2late4u
sorry if we offended you as we dont know all what has been done or where it has been done, sounds like you need a different repair place this isn't fixable over the internet, yes Dodge dealership cost more but they give a better warranty and also they take better care of the problem, sorry you are finding this out the hard way, i hear jasper transmissions are one of the better repair shops , google them and look for one of their repair shops and they do offer longer warranties as well, good luck OhareFred, Bill Adams and larryl
Bill Adams
I wasn’t offended. Was a little confused about where all the warrantee talk came from. I appreciate everyone’s time and advice. Thanks all. Bill
OhareFred
You would not believe how many people ask a million questions about repairs that would be covered under some warranty. When we are guessing, we ask about warranties. larryl

MAYBE you can do a fluid change and inspect the filter and magnet for shavings / sludge, and clean (or replace) just the PCV. I don't like to spend money, so a valvebody replace and transmission teardown would be my last resort.
Bill Adams
I replaced the Force control solenoid. That cleared the P2807 code. No real change is symptoms.
alpadilla73
Do you have to drop the transmission to replace the Force control solenoid? I cant find any info on removing the cover that holds the solenoids.

After 3 different trans specialist went through it said 3 different things fixed with the replacement without any other issues. John/Horace
All the cvt trans are crate rebuild now. Dealerships just swap out the units with the reman. Specialized tools make it too hard for independents or dealers to take it on.

John/Horace
Post doesn’t say they do. Context. Read 5-6 posts above. Discussion was about Jasper rebuild transmissions and if crate rebuilds were ok versus transmission shops. Cvt is part of the push to crate rebuilds, People also associate weird shifting with cvt’s. So kinda on topic. Edited April 18, 2021 by John/Horace
