12 PACK
Hi, Looking to prevent any mice or chipmunks from getting into any part of our Journey. It's used everyday but I've found acorns in the engine compartment before. Is peppermint oil working for anyone? Any other suggestions other than getting a cat? Thanks! OhareFred
I have heard dryer sheets work, but never had the issue can’t tell you for sure. Can’t hurt to hang a few away from hot parts....
Armando G
Now here's an interesting topic... Knew someone with this issue a long time ago and after trying a few things, they swore by peppermint oil. Make sure you clean as much as possible first and try not to park in the same spot every day. Side note, acorns could have popped in there from everyday driving. Depending on where you're finding them.
12 PACK
Thanks for the comments. I sprayed some peppermint oil throughout the engine bay and sliced up some Irish Spring bars of soap and put that into both bays of our vehicles. I did the same for the shed. We'll see if they work. If I see a chipmunk in the yard wearing a scally cap, I'll have to come up with a plan B. 5rebel9
