Terry08
Hey guys I’ve got a 2011 Journey RT hope you can help. I’ve got a leak and it’s coming from this. I believe this is part of my break system but can’t seem to locate what it’s called. I took the best photos I could. Thanks in advance. larryl
Don't think it's the Brakes looks like something else
John/Horace
Looks like purge shuttle valve for evap circuit. Shouldn’t have oil in it, just vacuum. Unhook a hose or follow it to intake on engine should prove it out. https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/dodge,2011,journey,3.6l+v6,3015205,exhaust+&+emission,vapor+canister+purge+valve+/+solenoid,4936 Edited May 3, 2021 by John/Horace OhareFred, JhamB and Locosiete 1
John/Horace
If it’s full of oil you could have an erg valve problem as well. Is engine going through oil. Scan for codes before buying parts. Edited May 3, 2021 by John/Horace OhareFred
Terry08
No codes, and no oil problems. Break fluid has to be refilled every couple months.
2late4u
if you are having to add BRAKE fluid every few months then you have a leak, just clean everything thing as good as you can and then when it leaks a bit you will know what area to examine for the leak, might need to have a qualified mechanic check it out since they have the proper tools and knowledge to troubleshoot the problem, good luck OhareFred and jkeaton 1
