JSkains
Could a oil pressure switch stuck high, cause the ECM to switch the oil pump to low pressure? I am reading consistently 96 lbs oil pressure on vehicle display, but valve train sounds like pressure is low. I know Dodge has a variable oil pump, but how low could the oil pressure be adjusted? Thanks for your help Edited June 3, 2021 by JSkains
2late4u
my 2014 while i was on a trip all of a sudden went to max pressure but the engine sounded fine, next day got it to the dealership they said the oil sensor went bad but that the oil pressure was still normal just the sensor was shorted out he said a lot of the 2014 were having problems with this problem from the manufacturer supplier, i was lucky as i had bought the lifetime warranty on my journey so it just cost me my ded of $100 also got a free car rental while they fixed the journey havent had any other problems with it since,,,, cost at dealership is around 500 back then...days of cheap repairs are over unless you can do them
John/Horace
https://parts.motorcitychrysler.ca/p/65881464/5149062AA.html About $47 Canadian pesos. Screwed into end of oil heat exchanger under hood. Could be wire harness related and sensor is ok.
