Turbo problem.

Recommended Posts

Hi.

I have had  issues with my special one

Turbo has been replaced about 2000miles ago.

Last week, engine suddenly went to limp mod and has done it since. Someday its all The Time in limp mode, someday it goes to LM in 5-10minutes.

Today it started fine and i was riding "hard", heavy accelerations and braking. And no limp mode?

Anyone with ideas? P2563 was the for The turbo problem when i got it.

With a turbo problem and being in the EU region, this must have the VW Diesel motor. Not avail. here in the NA market for the Journeys here.

What little I know of them (from other forums) is to watch for wastegate linkages, boost pipes cracking and the EGR system "fouling up".

Good luck to you and keep us posted.

Boost control pressure sensor.

Could have been stuck(what I referred to as wastegate).

Have you recently had codes scanned and this is the only one or is this from some time back?

I'm not that knowledgeable on these more modern computer controlled Diesels, only worked with the OLD(pre1983) VW ones.

I have recently scanned codes. i have P0335 also as permanent fault.

little fhrustrating that today the car started only in limp mode, yesterday drove around town with no problems and same day before that.

theres no formula when it works and when it doesnt.

It sometimes literally stops the engine when driving. 100kmh and corner is not a good thing :)

All I can suggest is contacting a VW specialty shop and see what they think. You folks still have VW line over there as from what I understand that Dodge has shut down. You may also inquire at a Fiat Dealer as the DJ is also known as the Fiat  Freemont.

MY preference would be more to a VW shop(independent then dealer[  $$$$ ])
