Here is a short video of the SRI I made using the secondary intake tube by cutting off the restrictive intake air diverter tubes and covering the holes with the ends of the tubes using JB Weld. You can hear the engine breath better...

so he turned his cold air feed  fed in from the front  grill  into a hot air feed from the engine heat,, sure makes more noise ,kind of like the old days when we flipped our air filter lid upside down on on the filter housing that  sure made more noise sounded good but that is all it did

I hope the JB weld doesn’t crack and something gets sucked into intake.

 

Thermal plastic welding the parts would be a better idea. There are kits you can buy with a torch and a few types of plastic welding rods, PE, abs, etc.

modified intake is temporary, just got the carbon fiber to make the permanent tube. the JB weld will never crack due to the heat from the engine, the pentastar V6 does not make that much heat.

the heat from the engine is not significant enough to hinder power or air temperature difference from the engine bay. ?

Respectfully, those helmholtz resonators aren't or can't be restrictive. They merely tune out drone from the intake. If you like the results, rock on. I went a little different approach.
