Bret76
Hello, My ABS light, emergency brake light, and anti skid light are all lit on the dashboard. The mechanic wants $700 to put In a whole new brake system. The Emergency brake light stays on even if the brake is depressed. Does anyone know what the problem and fix could be? Someone told me, I just might be low on brake fluid. Thanks!
2late4u
low brake fluid is usually caused by a leak OR brakes pads completely worn out, DEFINITELY get a second opinun might be a wheel speed sensor as that will make the ABS and anti skid lights come on as well as it also disables your cruise control
John/Horace
A whole new brake system is kinda vague. Itemized list ? Like stated by OP a low master cylinder fluid level and one bad wheel sensor can turn those lights on. Is pedal going to the floor, are brakes still working. Stored codes from ecm is always the place to start. Any recent brake work done, mileage on car ?
