NickS
Hey there, I have a 2015 Dodge Journey CVP with currently has the 4in touchscreen without any Bluetooth or hands free calling. I’m looking to upgrade the current screen to the 8in with both features. I also have a Dodge Journey 2012 available for parts which has the dash assembly as well as the 8in touchscreen. I’m just wondering if it’s possible to simple remove the assembly on the 2012, put it in the 2015 and have a dodge dealership configure it to work with my current vehicle. Any help? Thanks in advance.
John/Horace
Welcome to the forum. Do you have any steering wheel controls at all ? The Bluetooth module inside dash would also be needed, it’s very pricy and uconnect Bluetooth is not great, even when it’s working. Some people go with aftermarket units with better working Bluetooth. My experience is most dealers aren’t very interested in trying to retro fit non factory installed options. Maybe your local dealer is different; you would have to ask them. A recent poster added an aftermarket dash unit that had better Bluetooth, aftermarket camera ability, screen mirroring and all kinds of other capability. Might be worth looking at.
