P0306, P219b codes

Recommended Posts

I've been getting a P0306 code and a P219b code....here's everything I've done and I'm at a point where I'm not sure where to go. I've replaced:

1. All spark plugs

2. All coils

3. Fuel injector for cylinder 6

4. Both oxygen sensors

5. The MAP sensor

Nothing seems to work as the codes come back up after like a day of driving. Also the engine seems to "flutter or sputter" at about 45 mph up to 60 mph. Not dramatic but you can definitely tell.

Which is good news, that’s a decent number. Might be two different problems or just one thing, hard to tell.

You seem to have all cylinder 6 misfire causes covered except intake manifold seals, or maybe CPS sensor. They are a wear item and can sometimes cause misfire codes.

Here is a list for p219b. You have a lot of that covered too. Still a few things.

|P219B code possible causes

  • Leaking or contaminated fuel injectors
  • Low fuel pressure or running out of fuel
  • Leaking evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge valve
  • Exhaust or intake air system leaks
  • Exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system
  • Positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) system is leaking or the valve is stuck open
  • Ignition system
  • Incorrectly seated engine oil dipstick, tube or oil fill cap

Thank you. I'll check all those next.

Compression in cylinder 6 would be useful information.  Intake manifold gasket leaks can create cylinder misfire sometimes.

How many miles on this engine?

91000
