djdan_23
Hi!!! all I recently bought a 2012 Journey 3.6l Pentastar and I'm almost ready to go on the road and I have remove the filter and saw that the Bypass Valve is not there. So I went to the dealer and I'm waiting to have it. But in the mean time I check the old filter to discover that it has a plug in the head part going into the cap. Very strange isn't it. Could someone comment on this one, as I never been able to find any indication nor information kind of filter. I include photos of this filter + the adapter. And if I may, is it bad to mix 5l of " Pennzoil Ultra Platinum Full Synthetic 5W-30" and 1l of " Pennzoil Platinum Full Synthetic 5W-30" cause they don't have the ULTRA in 1l where I go. Thanks for your help.
agm2112
That´s why FCA changed the oil filter housing and filter after 2013. Bad design. Unfortunately, the new model is crappy too.

djdan_23
I found one on EBAY that I can see the top to be sure . Last question: Is there a better product than the original housing that uses the bypass valve. Which must fit very well in my journey 2012 3.6L. Seems that there are lots of problems with this kind of housing using this valve.
