Victoriab
Hello everyone. I have a 2016 Dodge Journey Se 2.4L. I have code poooA coming up. But no oil pressure light at all. We have had both camshaft sensors replaced. The oil pan is replaced. We are having zero issues with timing. So that was ruled out. The engine is just a little bit louder. She runs good, Gets up too speed good. There is zero spit and sputtering. She does not stall. She starts every time. What other possibilities could it be? John/Horace
Welcome to the forum. Did a mechanic recommend changing the camshaft sensors.? How many miles on engine? Could be an actuator solenoid, there are internal screens that can plug up with sludge. Lots of other possibility’s as well, like not enough oil pump pressure, worn timing chain or vvt sprocket etc. Even plug or wiring on the cam sensor being faulty. Very rare cases even ecm problem. Needs trouble shooting to narrow down to exact cause. Free advice worth everything you pay for it. I don’t work for rock auto, best source of easy jpg pics. https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/dodge,2016,journey,3.6l+v6,3353540,engine,variable+valve+timing+(vvt)+solenoid+/+actuator,12910 Edited March 28, 2022 by John/Horace

Had the timing checked. Also completely fine. This code just won’t go away. And we have run out of ideas of what it could possibly be. John/Horace
This is a case where if you aren’t using the dealer; you might want to try them. They have access to data bases for really weird unusual stuff. I think it’s probably a wire harness issue where the signal from one of the sensors is not getting to the ecm. Had a 1993 Grand Cherokee Jeep years ago with a constant O2 code after sensor had been changed more than once by previous owner. I took it to a near by dealer for a recall after owning it for two weeks, asked them to trouble shoot code. Head mechanic without looking at Jeep said the 1 -2 volt signal was not making it at full strength to ecm. My vehicle had a know wire harness issue, needed a three foot section of wire soldered and heat shrunk. I checked with a multi meter at home that day and he was correct. Took 20 mins after finding out what pin on ecm signal hard to go to.
