bergnside
Hey everyone. so i ordered my 2010 journey RT, it'll be in by the end of the month and im STOKED!! i was all excited at first that it comes with nice big 19" stock wheels but then i started looking at them in pics and im not so crazy about them. so i decided i want to use the 19" stock rims as my winter rims and buy a really nice set of 20's for my summer wheels. Ive got a wheels/tires guy ive used for a few years with my last 2 cars and in anticipation of getting my new journey, i went in to start doing my homework on what rims i want. He said that theres a small problem. the journey seems to use a very UNCOMMON offset/bolt pattern combination (35mm offset, 5x127mm bolts) which makes finding compatible wheels particularly difficult. he said there's bound to be some out there, but i wont have as wide a selection as i have had with previous cars. Has anyone had the same problem finding aftermarket rims for their journey? and does anyone know any good places to find ones that WILL work? For that matter, does anyone have any wheels that will fit a journey that they'd like to sell perhaps? they dont have to be 20's, i would be fine with an aftermarket set of 19's even. but i like more wheel, lower profile tire look on my cars. more sporty. id appreciate any help i can get here. thanks guys

I had to order my rims. No one in the area had rims that would fit, and I do mean no one. I ordered mine from tirerack.com . Everything worked great with them. But your guy is right, the selection is a little slim. On the bright side, once you do pick your rims, chances are no one will have them. I have seen only one car (not a journey) with rims like mine. Be careful of tire places saying they have rims that will fit. A lot of rims that might fit have big offset and will mess up the car in the long run. Your doing the right thing by doing your homework. Don't get a rim that has a offset bigger that 5mm over stock. Any offset larger than that, you will be taking a chance of bending your axles over time. Good luck in your search!
bergnside
hey! that website (tirerack.com) is AMAZING!!!............except that the 2010 journey RT only has 6 wheels (according to that webpage) that will work, and of the 6, i only REMOTELY liked 3, none of which had a full set of 4 in stock!!! im so annoyed! i can't believe my new car that im so excited for is giving me such a frustrating experience to personalize it and make it one of a kind, as i like my cars to be. WHY DODGE? WHY DO YOU HAVE TO MAKE SUCH STUPID BOLT/OFFSET COMBINATIONS? WHYYYYYYYYY???????!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL i could be cruising on SWEET 20'S but oh no, you had to go and screw me over didnt ya? ANYONE KNOW ANOTHER PLACE TO FIND THESE AFTERMARKET WHEELS? :D
