Infamous Ob
So my 2009 Dodge Journey SE 2WD has 51,239 Miles, and because it's a Dodge, the Check Engine light is already on. Dealership told me yesterday that I need a $450 Transmission Solenoid that I found online by Dorman for $135ish new as compared to what Chrysler wants. So then they say the rear brakes are shot, metal-metal and that my rear tires are going to need replacement soon. Overall, this truck sucks. The brand Dodge/Chrysler sucks. Value is now $8,500 and with all these problems, this truck will just sit and rot until I get it back up and running.

Yeah, we all talk about how brakes are a problem. I changed to ceramic brakes at 19,000 miles. Compaired to the rest of us, Getting 51,000 out of your brakes is great. I don't think anyone on here has gotten that many miles out of their brakes. Most people needed new brakes at 13,000 miles.
carcrazy699
funny how you say "because its a dodge the check engine light is on already" any car can have a check engine light come on. i had a 2007 dodge ram 1500 sport. only time the engine light came on is because it said i had low oil pressure when i didnt. all they had to do was a software update on the truck and it was fine. never had a problem with the truck. the journey isnt junk. like every car that has just came out on the market there are going to be problems that need to work out. alot of my buddies own euro cars and they have issues also so its not because of the brand. Infamous Ob
Dorman makes a aftermarket part (Item #698-100) I'm going to have it installed rather than wasting my time on another Chrysler Trans Soleniod.

Im going to be getting her new tires and Rotors and Pads next. she's running good now.
