Dean H
2016 DJ Sitting in the back seat, behind the popped headrest. The trim piece pops loose off the headrest frame. Lower the front seat back towards you. Then see how the headrest fits into the frame. At the top specifically. Fit the hooks on the bottom of the headrest into the frame. Then you will see how the headrest sits. See my pictures, I marked where the headrest fits into the frame. I applied E6000 adhesive there. I held the headrest to the frame for 15 minutes. It has been a year and holding strong.
John/Horace
Thank god Canuckistan models don’t have this headrest. Not the first post about them. I love e6000 adhesive, one of the better all purpose automotive products imo. Auto recycler for another head rest with good bracket is another option. In an accident it has a theoretical restraint purpose; I think.
Dean H
Your right, it is part of the airbag system. For me, I like having this type of headrest. The part of it deploying to me is just un-necessary. From what I've read, they seem to deploy. When they want to.
