kmantis17
Hi there fellow Journey owners, Long story short I have experienced the exact same brake issues as documented by others here, first reported it to the dealer at 12,464 miles, blah blah blah. I am going to complain to them this weekend when I take it in for my oil change, however i have decided to just go with the ceramic aftermarket pads and the slotted rotors as I just want safe brakes that don't cause the car to vibrate (which can cause other issues IMO). I found these on EBay, $300 for both front and back shipped; my brother-in-law is a mechanic and will install for me. Has anyone else heard of this manufacturer/seller and have any info, good or bad, to offer? is this a good deal? Quality product? I have heard that the slotted rotors are better, but these are also drilled, which I've heard can break earlier. True? Thoughts? Thanks! http://stores.ebay.com/atlautosports http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270657816313&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_2128wt_939 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270667851135&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_2128wt_939
larryl
I have them and they are great the- left front caliper seized on me and I drove for over 100 miles with the rotor white hot- but after getting it to the dealer and a new caliper installed the rotor was unscathed and is still good as of today you cannot go wrong- I also talked to the guy on the phone-a real nice guy
