JennyRebecca
Check and check. I am showing no codes but the check engine light stays on. The scanner says it's cleared the codes but the is still on. I did that probe the cam sensor on the I don't remember the watercolors but on the institute opposite ends and ones it was 5 volts there and 5 volts from the farthest one to the right in the middle but the left in the middle there was nothing is that normal? John/Horace
I definitely have feet. 😳Remote trouble shooting of electrical problems without a wiring diagram is not easily done. There is a whole 30 minute routine to trouble shoot the cam sensors on a 3.5. I don’t even have the 3.5 engine. Problem could be as simple as a bad plug on a cam sensor … or timing marks from belt change. I’m impressed you got this far. Most diy people don’t even attempt a timing belt change. This is advanced trouble shooting territory unfortunely. The 3.5 engine is worth fixing, my brother put over 200k miles on one. Belt hard to change but for several reasons possibly better than the newer 3.6 engine. Emissions rules killed off the 3.5.
JennyRebecca
Okay what I found is I have nothing on the ground on the cam sensor I've got a break in The wire somewhere my question is can I just splice into it and ground that wire anywhere? Or do I need to chase it all the way back to the computer
