Everythingtried
So I have a 2009 dodge journey sxt I am pretty sure the Engine is a 3.6 just got it replaced and my car is still overheating the radiator comes on when the car gets to the middle or half on the temperature gauge I also flushed it with a hose and water goes straight through and my heater core has been bypassed. When I look under the hood there is alot of pressure in the water reservoir and when I release it the temp gage goes back down so idk what's causing the pressure to build up. 2late4u
2009 had a 3.5 engine, so what temp is it going to ? are the fans coming on? are you using coolant mixed right? sounds like you need to return too who ever changed your engine out before you overheat it larryl
5rebel9
A 2009 model would be the 3.5 motor if this is the V^. Also being that old, I would bet on needing a new radiator, even though you say you flushed it. 2late4u
