cansub
2012 SRX R/T AWD. I have the rear of the drive shaft to the differential carrier removed fine. I've removed the center bearing (bracket) and the 6 x 8mm bolts on the front of the shaft. However, the front of the shaft will not budge. I've tried banging, air chisel etc. Is there some trick to removing it?
John/Horace
Maybe the domed end is stopping it. Try pivoting it down in the middle where hanger bearing is. May need to spin rear wheels, have tranny in neutral so you can manipulate shaft position a bit.
