John/Horace
Quote So looks like pin 86 is your 5 volt signal coming back from crank sensor and harness. Shout out to member Dean H for supplying this last year. Shouldn't need pcm from other car, both engines have same cps, etb sensors and are compatible. 5rebel9
Sorry for late response....winter weather keeps knocking out my ISP! I will admit that I had been confused as to which vehicle had been "parted out"and now understand it was the Avenger. But how long did the sit? YES it sounds like the now is checking wiring of the Journey. OR did the majority of engine harness swap with the donor motor? MAY be mismatches if that's the case. John/Horace
Problem with CPS sensor output is that it is “ a series of repetitive electrical voltage impulses generated by a a sensor and rotating shaft”. So regular ohm meter not good enough, osiliscope or high tec scanner needed to measure. Or keep trying learn procedure on diff CPS sensors until one passes. Resistance/continuity tests on harness could help isolate too.
