Hello,

I've poked around but I haven't found anyone having this same issue asking about it.

I have a 2015 Journey and it just started failing to lock all but the driver's side door. This is the case from both door controls, interior and exterior. The unlock works.  I can hear the relay firing under the dash when the button is hit. I changed the fuse as hey looked a little tired.

My cheap code reader is reporting B1805-2A, but it's also reporting other two new errors on the BCM. Is it more likely the BCM is dying ( again ) or that I have these issues?

From the google….The Instrument Cluster monitors Passenger Door Lock/Unlock Switch. When the Passenger Door Lock Switch Mux circuit is below 1.5 volts or over 4.3 volts for 10 seconds, this Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) will set.

Multi meter needs to be put inline on power feed to door solenoid and try switch too. If it’s showing over 4.3 I would guess the solenoid/latch mechanism is seizing or internal coil getting bad.

If it’s under 1.5 at both switch and the solenoid then it could be door harness wires getting ratty from age/flexing. Try gently moving the flex boot while watching voltage. Rear hatch wires often have problems.  Not that many BCM problems talked about here, could be your finding real problem now.

Lots of ground issues on these vehicles,  posts on cleaning up and upgrading ground wires. Behind glove box in front is a few main dash ground wires.

B156D-00-LOW VOLTAGE DIFFERENTIAL SIGNAL (LVDS) VIDEO CABLE

Set Condition:

The Integrated Center Stack (ICS) detects that the Low Voltage Differential Signal (LVDS) Video Cable is disconnected for greater than 10 seconds.

Possible Causes

LOW VOLTAGE DIFFERENTIAL SIGNAL (LVDS) VIDEO CABLE DISCONNECTED OR DAMAGED

TELEMATICS GATEWAY (TGW)

INTEGRATED CENTER STACK (ICS) SCREEN MODULE

1.CHECK THE VIDEO CABLE CONNECTIONS AT THE INTEGRATED CENTER STACK (ICS) SCREEN MODULE

            ---------

B16F7-15-FRONT LEFT FOG LAMP CONTROL - CIRCUIT SHORT TO BATTERY OR OPEN

Theory of Operation

The Body Control Module (BCM) receives the input from the headlamp switch requesting fog lamp illumination. The BCM provides a pulse width modulated (PWM) voltage output through the fog lamp driver circuit, which connects to the Fog Lamp. A ground path for the lamps is present through the harness to the body sheet metal.

When Monitored:

With the fog lamps active.

Set Condition:

When the Body Control Module (BCM) detects a high condition on the Left Front Fog Lamp Driver circuit.

Possible Causes

LEFT FRONT FOG LAMP DRIVER CIRCUIT OPEN

LEFT FRONT FOG LAMP DRIVER CIRCUIT SHORTED TO VOLTAGE

GROUND CIRCUIT OPEN

LEFT FRONT FOG LAMP BULB

BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM)

B2121-15-IGNITION RUN CONTROL 1 - CIRCUIT SHORT TO BATTERY OR OPEN

Theory of Operation

The Body Control Module (BCM) receives the network communication message from the Radio Frequency (RF) Hub indicating run operation is requested. The BCM provides a voltage output through the ignition run relay control circuit, which connects to the coil side of the Ignition Run Relays.

When Monitored:

With the Ignition Run Relay off.

Set Condition:

When the Body Control Module (BCM) detects a high condition on the Ignition Run Relay Control circuit

Possible Causes.

IGNITION RUN RELAY CONTROL CIRCUIT OPEN

IGNITION RUN RELAY CONTROL CIRCUIT SHORTED TO VOLTAGE

IGNITION RUN RELAY 1 AND 2

BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM)

B1805-2A-PASSENGER DOOR LOCK/UNLOCK SWITCH-STUCK

When Monitored:

With the ignition on

Set Condition:

This DTC will set if the BCM detects the Passenger Door Lock/Unlock Switch stuck in the LOCK or UNLOCK position

Possible Causes

PASSENGER WINDOW/DOOR LOCK SWITCH
