Back up camera upgrade

Recommended Posts

Evening gents,

I just picked my wife up a 2018 journey (because, apparently the pursuit charger I'd bought her instead a "mom car")

So far I'm liking it, but the picture from the back up camera is a bit grainy

I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way, so, what is the generally accepted upgrade ?

The head unit is the 8.4

the picture should NOT be grainy, you probably have a wire problem somewhere along the way, make sure the camera lens is clean and not covered with any substance as well

i cant imagine the wiring would be chewed up or anything, its a pretty clean looking vehicle

(of course that dont mean nothing)

the most logical place for a wiring issue to occur would be where it enters the chassis when the tailgate opens, no?

ill see what the picture looks like with the tailgate open, and ill give the lens a good cleaning, ill report back later

Oh, while we're talking about cameras, are those grid lines supposed to move when I turn the wheel ?

no they don't move,,,just wondering did you  buy OEM from the dealership or aftermarket camera lens and from where?
