diymirage
There a slight wobble in the front brakes, so im gonna need a new set of rotors, any suggestions for good rotors out there that wont break the bank? Any merit in using the slotted rotors ?
jkeaton
I go middle of the road parts from my local parts store, Brakebest (O'Reilly's), Carquest (Advance Auto), Duralast (Autozone), etc. Whoever has them cheaper.
2late4u
I bought my last rotors on Amazon they were name brand rotors,I didn't notice but you can buy the heavy duty/police rotors for just a few dollars more I would have got them,,cheaper than your local part stores as well... never have used slotted and or drilled rotors have heard they can cause a noise issue check out you tube for more info on slotted ,drilled rotors,,,and in use akebono brake pads off amazon as well they are the oem manufactures brake pads they use jkeaton
Donna Parker
I bought my brake rotors online for my 2012 Dodge Journey, Hex auto parts, it's not a name brand. But they were slotted and drilled rotors,my friend told me the design of slot work can sweep away gas and dust which come through braking. I couldn't say much since I only have them for two weeks. But I can feel the catch when braking. What I am confused before order this brake rotors kit, it's according to the parts house, there are two rotors for my 2012 Dodge Journey. 12.9" or 12.0 inch of the rotor center hole. I removed the oem center cap and hub area in the center of the lug nuts measured 12.9. So I am looking for 12.9 inch rear rotors. Luckily, I find on it with ceramic pads. Not only did I get a better price, these rotors came several days before I even thought it would. jkeaton
