Eric Poulsen
I almost hit 60,000 miles on my 2012 Dodge Journey V6 3.6L. Time to replace brake pads and rotors. Should I replace the rotors when replacing brake pads? What do you guys recommend? Detroit Axle,A-Premium or aftermarket?

Detroit Axle,A-Premium or aftermarket? 60k on a 2012!? wow, mines is at 175k lol. if you only have rotors, you could replace them only but to avoid having to go through the process of taking the wheel off twice i’d suggest doing all at once. just a bit simpler. brand wise, i can’t comment. i bought two different brake pads (one brand being detroit axle and other auto shack) and none of them are direct fit to the ones being replaced. like the footprint was considerably smaller/larger but not the exact size? think i’m just going to get a full brake kit w pads and slotted and drilled rotors. 😏

Donna Parker
Yes. The brake rotor kit like Detroit Axle or A-Premium is over than $300. If you don't want to spend much money. The cheapest price for your Dodge Journey is Hexautoparts Brakes Rotors, not a big brand name but they are drilled and slotted rotors, perform well in rainy climates, low dust and no noise. Well packaged, very nice and quality of items is far superior to what you will get from the big, boxed auto part chain stores. You can have a try.
