Bubba
That just sounds like the parking pin was trying to engage while the journey was still moving . This should not cause you any problems if you were moving slow. Just make sure it will still go into park and keep it from rolling .
FleshWound
the proper way to park is to come to a stop , apply parking brake, then put transmision into park. not everyone does it the proper way though (me included) like Bubba says, put it in park and try to push the vehicle if it doesn't move more than a few inches, you'll be fine. let us know how it turns out

diggit
As long as it sounds and works normally you should be fine. If you hear/feel anything odd, even years down, if its under warranty take it in but don't mention what you posted. Thats the deal breaker.
